Extraordinary experience, February 16, 2004
I had no idea how much power was packed into the smooth, subtle movements
Mark asked the participants to explore. So subtle that at times I wasn't
sure if I was really doing anything. Sure enough, by the end of the
exploration, I was reeling in my own body's information. Mark was able in a
few words and with his extraordinary presence to encourage movement and
create a space that facilitated profound discovery for me. This is a GREAT
tool for anyone interested in exploring and changing their own relationship
to love and loved ones. |
Receiving Love -- Four Rich Explorations, February 17, 2004

This is a wonderful home workshop for anyone who is interested in exploring
the barriers to opening the heart. I finished the workshop feeling very alive
and inspired about the possibilities that unfolded during my experience.
The four half hour explorations can be done sequentially, as a full workshop
session, or individually, at one's own pace. The workshop includes footage of
the teacher, Mark Fourman, providing guidance, suggestions, and support
throughout the four explorations. It also follows the experiences of the
participating students.
I set aside a couple of hours, popped in the DVD, and followed along as a
workshop participant. The explorations were very subtle and quite powerful,
consisting of instructions from the teacher and small movements of the body,
which I carried out while sitting, standing, or lying down.
I learned alot during the workshop, particularly that there are places in my
body that tend to be closed off, perhaps resisting love. I also found places
that were already open, where love flowed more easily. The DVD helped me to
understand that my intention to explore the places of resistance, coupled with
my awareness, can help me to soften and surrender into a more natural state of
receptivity.
Integrated Awareness in our Relationships - Receiving Love, March

Having been interested in Feldenkrais integrated awareness through
movement for some years it never ceases to amaze me how far the envelope
can be opened with new aspects of learning. I feel Mark Fourman has pushed
open the envelope of learning in one of the most important areas of our
life experience.
I had the most pleasurable experience just watching the Receiving Love
DVD of Mark's workshop. I can recognise that focusing on the secondary
visual cortex alone would almost be sufficient to make one receptive to
receiving love. I also recognise that this allows us to be totally present
to the moment.
I would like to thank Mark for sharing this knowledge and I can see
that his perception and ability to convey this to others has an enormous
potential to alleviate many problems in relationships, be they personal
ones or our dealings with colleagues and all those with whom we come into
contact.
Keep an Open Mind and Try This at Home, February 16, 2004
"Receiving Love" is an amazing Home Workshop that helps you discover details
about yourself that you never noticed before... and will help you unlock the
reasons why you sabotage yourself from receiving from others (and sometimes
yourself).
I know it sounds strange, but keep an open mind. With this workshop I noticed
things about myself (such my body language), what messages I was sending out,
and what caused me to start blocking receiving from others and myself. It's
amazing how we as beings are SO connected mentally, emotionally, physically, and
spiritually. It all goes hand in hand.
I strongly recommend that you try for yourself.
What you never learned in school!, February 20, 2004
This is what "learning" is all about, not a lecture from someone that "tells
you how you should be"! Mark acts as a compassionate guide while you get to
discover for yourself, what is true for yourself. This is about how you work
inside and outwardly, not a "how to fix it tape". The truly great thing is, you
come away with some ideas and tools to do things differently if you choose.
Several of my friends and I explored the video on Valentines Day. Though
there were some similarities, we all came up with our own unique discoveries and
insights. Later, I went through 2 of the movement processes again on my own, and
came up with several more rich and meaningful perceptions about myself.
Already I feel myself less afraid in the world and more able to open to the
love that is available. I plan on reviewing these exercises several more times
to see how things change for me over time. If you want to "have the experience"
rather than just hearing about it from someone else, then give yourself a gift
and try this video!
